Zoo better believe it

November 6, 2015

The Pigmy Hippo enclosure at Whipsnade Zoo will go down as our most unusual job to date.

Our extensive last minute research on hippos was sadly redundant as the keepers had moved the hippos to keep them safe from the roaming arborists and the felling of a small Silver Birch tree.

All of the Birch will be re-used by the zoo; with cord wood being used in the Cheetah enclosure as scratching posts.

All work was finished and tidied up in time for a tour of the zoo and our visit would not be complete without a mandatory photo of Mike doing his best flamingo impression.
