At The Blue Tree Company, we recently undertook a complex vegetation clearance project along the A505—a job that involved a temporary road closure, two MEWPs, a HIAB, and up to eight of our team on site.

This allowed our team to focus fully on the work in hand—cutting back overgrown vegetation encroaching on road margins—without compromising the safety of workers or road users.
Planning Multi-Stakeholder Works
Jobs like this don’t just happen overnight. For this A505 clearance, we collaborated with highways authorities, traffic management teams, equipment suppliers and local stakeholders to create a robust execution plan.
We used two MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) to provide safe access to hard-to-reach branches and a HIAB to handle heavier material. All equipment was operated by trained staff under LOLER and PUWER regulations, with a Blue Tree senior lead on site to coordinate timings and communications.
